STEPPING INTO SPRING

Some Inspiration For Your Easter and Passover Tablescapes

It's finally a little warmer and we have Easter and Passover this week, so here are some quick tips for a springtime tablescape!

I collect linens year-round, so now is the perfect time to pull out all of my pastel stripes and ginghams! I love mixing my patterns since I am a maximalist and it is fun to have some contrast between the napkin and table.

Tip: Go ahead and check your closets and see what you have...I bet there is something in the way of florals, eyelet or even some Turkish towels that can work for a smaller table. If you want something new, then check out Heather Taylor Home in Westwood or order online.

As you probably already know...pink and green are on brand for me, so I have plenty of salad plates in varying colorful shades and designs that are ideal to layer on top of my neutral dinner plates to make my settings pop.

Tip: Check your local flea market or your favorite vintage shop for unique plates. They have so many options ranging from glass to ceramic with everything in-between. I always stock up when I pass a place like The Mart Collective or Stars Antique Market. If you want to support a female-owned brand then I would suggest Pomelo Casa hand-painted treasures.

I LOVE flowers, so of course I want them on the table at all times. Sometimes I order stunning arrangements from my talented friends like Fireweed Florals or Karen Amit, they are large and loose and organic and fill the space, but if I am on a tighter timeline I have my tricks.

Tip: Go to Flowertruck LA, the schedule is on their Instagram and you will get a huge selection of everything from ranunculus and poppies to every color rose you can imagine. I stick with a single varietal per vase for a cleaner look when I am doing bud vases, I leave the real arranging to the pros. And if you are in need of something quick...Trader Joe’s is my go-to for excellent tulips and hyacinth.

If you use all of these elements, you'll see how your table can be transformed just by swapping out a napkin, plate or changing the scale of your floral. And don't forget your holiday add-ons like Easter candy!

Happy Spring!
