Chef Nyesha Arrington may have put herself on the national radar as a Top Chef contestant, but in this city she is known best for her fresh California cuisine with a creative Angeleno twist. She’s now steering the ship at her own spot, Native, which is housed in the former Santa Monica Yacht Club. This dinner and weekend brunch spot features elegant dishes bursting with multicultural flavors, like kombu scented potatoes and curried lamb belly tortellini. And with a variety of plush and hard seating for up to 95 guests, Native’s bold decor sets the scene for an intimate, elevated gathering.
The area accomodates for 35 people seated and standing combined if the tables and chairs are removed, but the banquette will remain for some seating. The small atrium off the patio seats 8 people.
